Galicia: Sil Gorges (LU-903)

This route winds through the heart of the Ribeira Sacra, a breathtaking gorge carved out by the Sil River. The drive along the LU-903 offers a dizzying descent with sharp curves and hairpin turns reminiscent of Alpine roads, but surrounded by vineyards on nearly vertical terraces and hidden Romanesque monasteries. The highlight is crossing the bridge over the river at the bottom of the canyon, followed by an ascent with a spectacular panoramic view of the rocky cliffs.
